Character
Name: Elizabetta Ix
Series: Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun
Timeline: Ch 217
Canon Resource Links: Wiki Link
Personality:
Elizabetta is a demon. To be more particular, she is a demon in training to be a succubus.
Looking at her, this is no surprise. At over six feet tall, Eliza has the kind of appearance that many a horny anime figurine aspire for: long legs, a voluptuous figure, and long blond hair. It's no surprise that when the students taking a seduction elective class are ranked, she gets a pretty high score from their professional succubus teacher.
And yet initially, it might seem like all she has going for her is her sex appeal. For the first couple of arcs in the manga, Elizabetta has a rather reserved role. She's passive, not seeming to expect too much of herself - something that might have existed even before she was placed in the previously shunned "Misfit Class", where particularly troublemaking, annoying, or weird students were placed in.
(Amongst her classmates: a wannabe Demon King who tried to beat up a teacher the first day of school, a master pickpocket who can't stop stealing even if he's just passing by someone, a demon that's perpetually asleep on his mobile cloud, and more.)
Why exactly Elizabetta is placed into the class is hard to say, as she's one of the few students not given a reason for her placement. Her grades may have been a part of it, as a studying arc proves she's one of the less book smart students, but there's nothing solid to go on. Regardless, she initially doesn't seem particularly bothered about her situation. The Misfit Class's room is a mess, yeah, and it's constantly used as a trash dumping ground by other classes... But she doesn't seem to let herself be bothered by it.
It's not a big deal, because she's gotten used to it, right? It's kind of fun to be an abnormal misfit, right?
Yet Iruma's push for Royal One - the sealed away and grand classroom used by the previous Demon King - seems to ignite something within the entirety of the Misfits Class, including in Elizabetta herself.
The impossibility of something is what makes it meaningful.
Iruma's words, the push to show the entire school just what a truly abnormal class could be, made a truly powerful ambition and desire swell up in all of them. Like any true demon, they were creatures of desire more than anything, and that was the first step in sharpening those desires into something insurmountable.
For Elizabetta in particular, this was the first step in becoming a little more pro-active instead of just a passive beauty, although some of her steps would be a little slower than some of her companions. In the initial Royal One arc, and the Summer Vacation arc that eventually followed after it, she plays a more supporting role than anything.
For Royal One in particular, it's the first time we introduced to her Bloodline Ability, where she emits a scent that makes people inclined to favoring her and wanting to make her happy. In that case, all she had to do was be a background character - quite on purpose - and release her scent at the right time. In the Summer Vacation arc, her skills are simply not suited to dealing with giant monsters rampaging around, and she's left to evacuate with a fellow classmate at the encouragement of a chaperone.
Yet for Elizabetta, things kick into high gear during the Harvest Festival. The Misfit Class is told that they all must reach a certain demonic rank before the end of the year is done, lest they be kicked out of the classroom.
And to make things fair, each pair is assigned a special tutor to polish their abilities to the utmost. For Elizabetta, this meant one of the best succubi in the world, and someone who had previously won the Harvest Festival with her abilities of seduction. It was grueling training for a succubus, something to bring out Elizabetta's full potential. Every one of the students of Royal One felt they were suffering underneath such terrible training from their tutors, often meeting with one another in the middle of the night to both complain and compare each other's suffering to one another.
And yet, in the end... Each of them looked to their training with an eagerly pounding heart, determined to overcome it and prove their abilities. Ever since the acquisition of Royal One and the various other victories they'd tasted, they'd fallen in for Iruma's initial statement: the impossibility of something is what makes it meaningful.
For Elizabetta in particular, this meant fine honing her seduction talents in a way that had nothing to do with her Bloodline Magic - and that might have been what she always wanted to do, but had no true guidance or idea on how to achieve.
You see, here's the thing:
Elizabetta believes that every other person (or at least of the male variety) is a potential romantic partner.
As a demon with an ability to make people inclined to doing what she says, vying for her favor and attention, anything to make her happy - it's understandably left Elizabetta with some thoughts on romance. She adores all sorts of romances, from the genuine to those ending in tragedy to even betrayal. Yet most of all, she's fascinated if she can find, for herself, a romance that will blow right past her Bloodline Magic, and be enraptured purely with her for herself.
Essentially, she's living that otome lifestyle, and trying to see what route will lead to her true and golden Happily Ever After.
Certainly with the results of the Harvest Festival, she shows this in spades. For a good majority of it, she charms and seduces other students into doing all her work for her. The aim is to get as many points by harvesting as many ingredients one can from plants and animals, after all, while still surviving for approximately a week. And what better way to survive than to keep out of dangerous situations, and have other people get your points for you?
Her talents there are so notable that one of her classmates - technically a rival in the festival - actually goes to her to strike a deal so that they're working on the same side and rallying against another classmate, and Elizabetta even earns a demonic rank up thanks to her efforts.
Such a victory only fuels her even more, leading to one of the most recent arcs she featured in: the Music Festival.
As some background, demons are of course driven by their desires. Not only can this lead them to be either extremely stubborn and focused on one thing (Jazz's inability to stop pickpocketing people) or prone to jerking around as they chase whatever desire is at the forefront of their mind... But this has the added negative of making most demons extremely individualistic. Getting them to work together can often be done with a united goal, and/or a good leader who can utilize their skills and desires in the best direction. (As Iruma showed in the Royal One arc.)
Yet that sort of thing can only go so far... And nothing demonstrates this better than a "Hell Dance", a display of skill where multiple demons work together in a dance formation. This could be idol group moves, or broadway-type performances, but the end result for most demons is the same: complete failure at best, and actually physically collapsing from the strain of going against their very nature.
And yet the impossibility of something is what makes it meaningful.
Just like every other member of the Misfit Class, Elizabetta threw herself into the dance training once they finally made the decision on how the Hell Dance was what they wanted to do. If anything, the pressure was on her even more considering Elizabetta was made to be one of two leads in the dance with all the attention on her. In fact, at one point in time it seemed as though she might be the only "true" lead, with her partner wanting to stay out of the spotlight.
And yet Elizabetta's only response - like many of her classmates now snagged by the desire to succeed against the impossible - was to give an absolutely enraptured smile and agree without any hesitation.
Additionally, while Elizabetta may be fine with being labeled an "idiot" for her lack of talent in book smarts, she's actually incredibly emotionally intelligent and has a knack for certain areas. Not only is this a requirement for anyone who wants to be a succubus who can win the heart of any man (and she means any man), but she shows quite a deep understanding of demon behavior and how certain things that happen to a young demon can deeply affect their future.
And so that is Elizabetta Ix, an emotionally intelligent young succubus with a romantic's heart and a true demon's burning desire.

Samples
RP Sample: The sample must be a thread, with at least five comments from you, that you have made anywhere with this character in the last four months at the canon point you have chosen for said character. Linking to a post or log containing multiple threads will also suffice, as long as at least one of the threads has the required number of comments. This thread sample can be in any format (e.g. network post, prose log, actionspam, Dear Mun post, and so on). While it does not have to be set in Victory Road's setting, you can use a Victory Road test drive thread for this sample, as long as it's a different thread than one used for the second sample below. What we are looking for here is grasp of your character's voice and a sense of how you operate as a role-player. If we feel that the sample provided is not adequate, we reserve the right to ask for another.
Victory Road Sample: This sample must take place in Victory Road's setting and can be EITHER a written post OR another thread if you would prefer not to write a post. The minimum is 300 words for a prose sample, eight sentences for a network post/actionspam sample, or ten comments total (five from you) in an RP sample. What we are looking for here is how the character responds to the Pokéworld's setting. You can also use a Victory Road test drive thread for this sample, but you cannot use the same top-level for the first sample above.
